Worship Sunday Morning Online Only at 11:00 a.m.

We will continue to worship via livestream only on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. The service will focus on what it means for us to be “fishers of people” as Jesus said in his call to Simon Peter and his brother Andrew. We are still being called to be fishers of people. Join us for worship as we think about this call on the life of disciples of Jesus Christ. Make a special effort to attend online.

Trustees Elect Officers, Organize for 2021

Our Trustees met last night to organize themselves for the coming year. The Board of Trustees are required to elect their own officers during the first month of the year. Frank Dowd was elected as the chair for 2021. Larry Brewer was elected vice chair and Lane Pye will serve as the secretary. The committee then reviewed a number of projects they will work on throughout this year. In our UMC structure, the Board of Trustees is an important committee as they give oversight to the care of the building and physical property and they are also the stewards of the church in any legal matters.

Church to Remain Closed for January
Our leadership team unanimously voted to close our church to all in person activities at Liberty for the full month of January. Our hospitals are at or near capacity and the COVID-19 virus is spreading at alarming rates. A couple of committee meetings that are required will be held with masks and far greater than normal social distancing or will be held outdoors if possible. Thanks to everyone for your patience as we try to be good citizens in our community.
