Church Office Closed Monday, September 6
Our church office will be closed on Monday, September 6, in observance of Labor Day. As always, contact either of our pastors in the case of an emergency.

Nominations Committee to Meet September 7
Our Committee on Nominations and Lay Leadership continues its work in preparing a slate of leadership for approval at our upcoming Charge Conference. Continue to be in prayer for them as they seek God’s guidance in appointing leaders to serve in our congregation.
Pioneer Clubs Begin Again September 8
Our Pioneer Clubs will begin again on Wednesday, September 8, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.. We will serve a snack supper followed by a bible lesson, crafts, games, and music. Pioneer Clubs are for children in K-5 through the 5th grade. All our children are encouraged to take part and to invite friends. Call Pam Creech (478-788-5941) with any questions.
Called Church Council Meeting September 9
Our Church Council recently voted to begin the process of disaffiliating from The United Methodist Church. The District Superintendent will be meeting informally with our Church Council at a called meeting on September 9, at 7:00 p.m. Eventually, we will have a called Church Conference at which a 2/3 majority vote will be required to move forward in the process.
Youth Ministry Annual BBQ Fundraiser, Friday, September 10
Our Youth Ministry will hold their annual BBQ fundraiser on Friday, September 10. Plates are $7 each (includes BBQ, mac & cheese, green beans, and a slice of bread) and/or whole butts for $35 each. If you order 10 or more plates, we can deliver. Plates and whole butts can be picked up anytime between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, September 10. Everyone is welcome to dine in as well. We will accept cash, check, cash app, and Venmo. Hunt down a youth and order TODAY!
United Methodist Men Fellowship Breakfast September 12
Our United Methodist Men will hold their monthly fellowship breakfast on Sunday, September 12, at 7:45 a.m. All our men are invited to attend.
Children’s Task Force to Meet September 12
The Children’s Task Force will meet on September 12 at 3:00 p.m. in the Vinson Building to plan for our next Fun Friday on September 17. We will also be discussing the fall festival which is October 23. The children are continuing to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. You may leave your tabs on the bottom step of the children’s department.
A Concert of Worship & Prayer Set for Sunday Evening, September 19
On Sunday evening, September 19 at 5:00 p.m., our pastor, Tony and Natalie Crosby will be leading us in a “concert of worship and prayer.” The program will be a free-flowing experience of corporate and individual prayer and praise through both song and silence. Come prepared to make a joyful noise and be quiet before the Lord in reverence as we both pour out our hearts and open them up as well to what God would do in and through us in these days.
