Plans Underway for a Big God & Country Celebration, Food Drive
We are making plans for an extra big celebration of God & Country this year on June 27. We will have an outdoor worship service, a picnic lunch, and a festival atmosphere of fun and games for the whole family. The worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. with special music including a brass quartet and a men’s ensemble. Thousands of our neighbors have been invited via a direct mail postcard, but nothing beats a personal invitation. Invite someone every day to join us for worship and fun. Also, remember to bring along canned goods or non-perishable food items as well as we will distribute those to community agencies over next week.
Vacation Bible School Continues; Family Fun Day Set for This Friday
Our VBS continues this week as we have welcomed dozens of children to our church to teach them the gospel. So far they have learned about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo in the fiery furnace and today they learned about David and Goliath. Our VBS will wrap up on Friday with a family fun day 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will have hamburgers, chips, drinks, and shaved ice. There will also be a waterslide, obstacle course, and lots of fun. Continue to pray for our leaders and the children.
School Supplies Drive Begins for Area Elementary Schools
Liberty’s United Methodist Women and the mission team are collecting school supplies for Heard, Porter, and Skyview for the new school year. Please put supplies in the boxes in the hallway and the narthex. Thank you for your commitment to share the love of God with our neighbors in so many different ways.
